Every year about 20000 immigrants come to US. For most of them English is a second language and for some they don't understand English at all. Title VI of the civil rights act of 1964 requires receipients of Federal financial assistance to take reasonable steps to make their programs, services and activities accessible by eligible persons with limited proficiency. These immigrants need medical interpretation service when they use medical service of any kind.
We are a group of individuals who have been involved in the field of language proficiency for more than 10 years. During this tenure we felt that there is an opportunity to improve the standard of medical interpreters so that the service received by the patients are upto the standard. This is when we decided to start DictionDev. DictionDev is the solution to quickly test and maintain the language proficiency standard of Medical Interpreters.
We currently offer tests in more than 16 different languages. We mainly pick languages mostly based on demand. We plan to increase number of tests we offer over time. Each test is designed to test candidate's proficiency in Listening comprehension in English, common medical terminologies, Language translation and Ethics and Standard of medical practice in the United States. Questions for these tests are carefully picked from our rich source of question data banks. The questions are designed to include commonly used terms in medical settings in the United States.

Manish Joshi (Chief Executive Officer / Cofounder)
An entreprenuer and devoted IT professional with experience of more than 15 years. He has a background working with multiple startups envisioning and executing various software applications. He is keen on understanding and solving problems tied with language community. He has a Masters degree in Information Systems from Texas A&M International University.
Pranaya Lama (Chief Operating Officer / Cofounder)
An entreprenur who has been continuously serving Limited English Proficiency (LEP) community more than 12 years now. Pranaya closely understands the problems faced by LEP community and has a passion to help overcome their issues. He also is a seasoned businessman and a dedicated IT professional. This distinctive combination of business expertise and technical proficiency forms the bedrock of Pranaya's approach to each project. Pranaya has experience managing teams in Call Center, hiring interpreters and also loves participating in various activities to help improve quality of medical interpreters. Pranaya holds an MBA in Business Economics from Georgia State University.
